Unfortunately Stephen Fry didn't win in either of the two categories where he was nominated. Whilst it is obviously a shame that Stephen didn't win, congrats must go to Johnathan Ross (recently a panelist on the show) for winning the Entertainment Performance award.
A quick reminder that Stephen Fry is up for the Entertainment Performance BAFTA tonight so make sure that you watch it live on BBC1.
We all wish Mr Fry the best of luck this evening.
Stephen Fry has been nominated for his work on QI for the Entertainment Performance Award for the UK's 2007 British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards. He'll face strong competition from Ant & Dec for Saturday Night Takeaway, Paul Merton for Have I Got News for You and Jonathan Ross for Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. The award is considered one of the more prestigious BAFTAs.
Fry has been nominated for QI for the award on two previous occassions but failed to win. Paul Merton and Jonathan Ross (twice) have both received the award since 2000.
The QI Book of General Ignorance has been shortlisted for the TV and Film Book of the Year 2007 Award by the British Book Awards. You can vote for the QI book to win the award here.

QI has won the British Sitcom Guide’s Best Comedy Quiz Show of 2006 Award. Have I Got News For You came in a close second place followed by 8 Out Of 10 Cats.
The online members of the BSG voted for the awards. An odd quirk was that members also voted for what they thought were the worst programmes of 2006. In QI’s category this misfortune fell to Channel 4’s Best of the Worst.
